System Maintenance Technician Full Time $30.50/hr Application

The System Maintenance Technician (SMT) supports the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of building systems while delivering remarkable service to guests. This includes performing routine monitoring, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and HVAC equipment. This role ensures compliance with Public Health, as well as Occupational Health and Safety standards, maintains optimal system performance through preventative and corrective maintenance, and contributes to energy efficiency initiatives.

Responsibilities:
• Perform operation and maintenance of equipment including heat exchangers, HVAC systems, electrical components, and hot water systems, while also identifying opportunities for energy efficiency improvements.
• Monitor, adjust, and maintain hot water heaters, pumps, valves, piping, filters, and other mechanical and electrical equipment; record system readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal operation.
• Conduct routine testing of pool water, steam boiler water, and cooling tower water. Operate and monitor both critical and non-critical system equipment and components using the Building Automation System (BAS).
• Execute preventative and corrective maintenance on critical systems and building structure; document and close work orders in the CMMS.
• Perform dispatch duties as required.
• Ensure that the Company's preventative maintenance program is monitored and maintained, including troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Maintain the pool and surrounding areas in compliance with Public Health standards and regulations
• Consistently working safely, and in compliance with OH&S policies, internal safety policies and legislation by actively contributing to a safe and hazard free work environment
• Build company reputation by earning guest trust through timely and courteous responses and issue resolution.
• Work as part of a team, exhibiting attention to detail and accuracy.
• Adhere to compliance and workplace policies, internal procedures, and AGCO directives.
• Perform all other job-related duties as requested by management.
• Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation

The ideal candidate has:
• Basic building systems, electrical, mechanical, or architectural experience (is an asset)
• Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word, Project, LT programs)
• Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to troubleshoot effectively and adhere to all health and safety policies and practices
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Exceptional communication skills displaying respect, consideration for others and provides remarkable guest service
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude
