Renovation Specialist

HAFI Contracting Group is a growing residential and commercial renovation company serving Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, and surrounding communities.

HAFI Contracting Group is looking for a skilled and reliable Renovation Specialist who can work independently and as part of a team on a variety of renovation and construction projects.

• Tiling — floor and wall tile installation, back splashes, shower systems, waterproofing and grouting.
• Demolition — selective demolition and removal of drywall, flooring, cabinets, fixtures and other materials.
• Cabinetry — cabinet installation, adjustments, hardware installation, trim and finishing.
• Framing — wood framing, partition walls, bulkheads, soffits and general framing.
• Drywall — installation, repairs, taping, mudding and finishing.
• Flooring — laminate, vinyl plank, engineered hardwood and other flooring installations.
• Finish Carpentry — baseboards, casing, crown moulding, door trim and other finish work.
• Renovations — kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions and general residential renovations.
• Painting — interior preparation and painting as required.
• Assist with general construction tasks and maintain a clean, organized and safe worksite.
• Read and follow drawings, measurements and project specifications.
• Complete work to a high standard of quality and workmanship.

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on renovation/construction experience preferred.
• Strong skills in several of: tiling, cabinetry, framing, flooring, finish carpentry, drywall, demolition, and general renovations.
• Ability to measure accurately and work from drawings or specifications.
• Good understanding of construction materials, tools and installation methods.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable, punctual and professional.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Must have your own basic hand tools.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation is an asset.
