POSITION SUMMARYBasic Ski Patrol position. Advanced to from Patrol
- Trainee on completion of Basic Training. This position will require valid CPR, Outdoor Emergency or CO certified-EMT, with completion of Basic Training within 60 days of start of season.
- Administer first aid to injured individuals
- Respond to emergency situations at the ski area
- Responsible for skier education
- Responsible for assisting in patrolling the ski area boundaries
- Assist with clearing of ski lift areas as directed
- Assist with ski and boot packing of the ski area as directed
- Assist with sweeping of trails to ensure that all skiers are down at the end of the day
- Assist with crowd control as directed
- Must be knowledgeable of snowmobile safety and operating procedures
- Must ski in a safe manner
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
- Other duties as assigned
- Must have advanced or higher skiing ability in all terrain in all conditions
- Must present proof of either of the following - Outdoor Emergency Care or Colorado certified EMT by Fall 2023
- Must be currently certified and present a valid up to date CPR for the Professional Rescuer card or currently enrolled in a class to get you those certifications.
- Must possess excellent public relations and communications skills as well as high level of friendliness
- Must handle stressful situations
The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel.
