Steamboat Springs Middle School is seeking a part time (.33 FTE)
Fall Musical Co-Director.
Stipend Pay Range: $835.33- $1,227.33,depending on experience.
- To hold a required parent/student meeting at the beginning of each season. At that meeting, have written guidelines available for the parents and students that outlines your practices, attendance, participation policies and behavior expectations for your participants.
- Communicate effectively and regularly with the Athletic/Activities Director, student participants/team members, their parents and program coaches/sponsors so that expectations and procedures are clear.
- Provide continual updates of your team/group roster to the School Activities Director and keep the Director fully informed of possible conflict issues within your program.
- Never allow a participant to practice or play/participate without proof of a current physical and insurance on file with the School Office and do not issue a uniform to an athlete or other participant until the athletic/activity fee has been paid.
- Follow and uphold all Steamboat Springs School District eligibility policies and procedures, current first aide certification.
- Always conduct yourself in an ethical and professional manner and promote to the team/group members a healthy lifestyle with respect to use/abuse of drugs, alcohol, tobacco and steroids.
- Operate with the understanding and requirement that you are the supervising adult for all activity participation at the school and will remain so from the time the group leaves the school until all students have been picked up by their parents upon return of group.
- Take ownership for the care and security of program equipment. Follow the uniform/equipment check-out procedures and account for all student use and collection of, inventory of and proper storage of all uniforms/equipment within two weeks of the end of the season.
- Hold an end-of-season awards ceremony to recognize the hard work of the students such as lettering, league and state awards and special accomplishments. Also, use the occasion as a way of thanking your other coaches/sponsors and parents for their assistance during the season/activity period.
- Represent and advocate for Steamboat Springs School District schools and your sport/activity by attending appropriate league, regional and state meetings, as well as clinics and professional development opportunities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to maintain discipline with large groups of students.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
