Position: Civil Design Engineer / Engineer-in-Training (EIT) - Four Points Surveying & Engineering

Civil Design Engineer

Full‑time, permanent position located in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Join a leading engineering consulting firm and work on high‑alpine land development projects.

Responsibilities
  • Design and draft civil engineering projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Perform technical calculations for stormwater management, grading, and utility systems.
  • Coordinate with civil engineers, architects, surveyors and other specialists to meet project goals.
  • Conduct fieldwork, laboratory testing, construction oversight, and field documentation.
  • Analyze existing sites, maps, and field notes to support design decisions and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with technical reports, project presentations, and cost estimation.
  • Review designs for accuracy, consistency, and constructability.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • EIT (Engineer‑in‑Training) certification required; current Colorado P.E. license welcome.
  • Minimum two years of experience designing and preparing civil engineering construction drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to interpret field data.
  • Knowledge of civil engineering principles, regulations, and standards.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.
