Pay:$42.90 - $66.50 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant‘s relevant experience
Summary:Provides leadership for all nursing units and clinical support areas during assigned shift. Monitors and evaluates performance of agency and temporary staff, especially nursing staff.
Responsibilities:- Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to staff.
- Responds to staff requests for managerial assistance. Notifies MOC/AOC as necessary.
Determines, coordinates, and monitors the flow of patients between units to maximize patient safety and experience and the use of the organization‘s resources . - Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
- Coordinates patient care services with staff, physicians, and other departments.
- Responds to complaints/conflicts and manages through established channels.
- Makes administrative decisions in conjunction with the MOC/AOC.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
- ADN, BSN required for hires/transfers after 1/1/15.
- Preferred:
Master‘s degree in Nursing or related field. - State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 3 months of hire.
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course OR PALS Certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 3 months of hire.
- Trauma Nurse Core Course OR Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses within 6 months of hire.
- ACLS required for North Region within 3 months of hire.
- 2 years of nursing experience.
