*** POSITION SUMMARY
** Join our dynamic team! This position is in the Cabin Restaurant and Poolside Bistro within the Steamboat Grand Hotel. We are looking for folks who can mix a drink and enjoy connecting with guests.
** ESSENTIAL DUTIES
*** Responsible for tending bar in a high-volume dining restaurant and poolside bistro, serving both bar patrons and wait staff; mix, pour and serve drinks to customers and/or wait staff serving tables; keep work area and bar organized and clean at all times
* Responsible for cash handling and daily sales reconciliation. Perform cashier duties; set up cash drawer; take payment and return correct change; cash out at the end of the evening. Ensure that your bank is correct. Print out guest checks as needed for payment, close out and receive payments from guests to expedite service
* Must be a team player by assisting in daily operations of serving, cleaning, bussing, and answering phones which is dictated by business volume. Greet and seat customers, as required
* Open bar facilities. Stock and set up bar for service. Perform shift opening tasks that may include: setting tables, opening doors, set up service station, make sure all menus are stocked for all shifts, etc. As required
* Maintain good customer relations; interact with customers in a pleasant but professional manner. Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times. Follow proper etiquette guidelines while interacting with the guests and respond to all guests in a courteous, efficient manner
* Adhere to State Liquor Regulations, determine when customers should not be served alcohol
* All job responsibilities need to be completed in a timely and efficient manner
* Handle disturbances created by disorderly or intoxicated patrons, with the proper level of guest consideration, safety and know the right time to seek assistance
* Alert manager of inventory shortages of liquor, food and supplies based on anticipated or actual guest volume
* Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
* Perform other tasks as assigned
