Social Worker - Contract
Location:
Steger, IL
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW).
- State licensure as a School Social Worker.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of child development and behavior management strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Description:
- Provide emotional, social, and academic support to students.
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address issues affecting student performance.
- Respond to crises and provide appropriate interventions and support.
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies to help students succeed.
- Identify and refer students and families to appropriate community resources for additional support.
- Maintain accurate records and document all counseling sessions and interventions.
