Cook patient and resident meals in person at Bethesda Regional Health Centre and Bethesda Place, using therapeutic food knowledge and sanitary handling.
Southern Health-Santé Sud seeks a temporary Cook for Nutrition and Food Services. The position requires health care food service or institutional cooking experience, kitchen organization, and careful preparation for patients and residents. You will work within a diverse health care setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Organize and cook food for patients and residents
- Apply therapeutic and modified food texture knowledge
- Follow sanitary food handling procedures and directions
- Maintain an organized work environment and solve problems
- Communicate effectively with staff and health care professionals
- Minimum one year of relevant full time experience
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Current Food Handler Training Level 1 certificate
- Knowledge of kitchen operations and sanitary principles
- Ability to lift specified weights and work independently
Use cooking, food safety, and communication skills to support patients and residents at Bethesda health care sites.
