About the Role
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organized Catering Operations Assistant to support their team in Paarl . This hybrid role provides crucial assistance in the day-to-day management of catering operations, working closely with the Operations Manager and event staff. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of events by managing logistics, coordinating resources, and supporting client communication.
This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain broad experience in the catering industry, working in a supportive environment that values teamwork and efficiency, with the benefit of a flexible hybrid work schedule.
- Assist in coordinating event logistics, including vendor bookings, deliveries, and staffing schedules.
- Help manage inventory of catering supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Support the Operations Manager with client inquiries and contract preparation.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and service teams to ensure seamless event execution.
- Conduct administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and preparing reports.
- Assist with on-site event setup and support as needed during events.
- Previous experience in an administrative or support role, preferably within the hospitality or catering sector.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with virtual collaboration tools.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
