Senior Chemistry Lecturer

• Deliver engaging lectures and practical laboratory sessions in various branches of chemistry, including organic, inorganic, physical, and analytical chemistry.
• Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, lecture notes, assignments, and laboratory manuals.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, guiding students through experimental design and data analysis.
• Contribute to the research output of the department through publishing in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at academic conferences.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and student support services within the Stellenbosch campus environment.

• A PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field from a recognized university.
• A minimum of 5 years of university-level teaching experience, preferably at a lecturer or senior lecturer level.
• A strong publication record in reputable scientific journals.
• Proven experience in supervising student research projects.
• Excellent presentation skills, a deep understanding of chemical principles, and the ability to engage students effectively in a traditional academic setting in Stellenbosch .
