Financial Accountant: Consolidation

Consolidation, sought to drive IFRS‑compliant consolidated reporting for a prominent South African investment holding company. • Assist with the preparation of annual & interim consolidated financial statements
• Liaise with investee companies
• Assess corporate transactions and contracts
• Manage equity accounting of associates and joint ventures
• Prepare various consolidated disclosure notes
• Liaise with external auditors to obtain sign‑off on work performed
• Review financial statements of the Group's investee companies
• Review the entity financial statements of the Group's subsidiary companies
• Assist with the preparation of iXBRL submissions to the CIPCA
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting information systems
• Prepare reports and presentations for board meetings
• Manage and approve payments daily
• Manage quarterly completion of South African Reserve Bank forms
• Assist the Financial Manager with financial administrative tasks
• Assist with various ad hoc projects

• Between 2 and 5 years post‑article experience
• Exposure to complex consolidations activities either during or post articles essential
• Must be up to date with current IFRS and Companies Act developments
