Senior Geophysicist - Seismic Interpretation

Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Geophysicist specializing in seismic interpretation to join their prestigious team in Stellenbosch. • Perform advanced seismic data processing and interpretation to delineate subsurface structures and strati graphic features.
• Integrate seismic data with well logs, core data, and other geological information to build comprehensive subsurface models.
• Identify and evaluate drilling prospects, assess geological risk, and contribute to exploration strategy development.
• Utilize state-of-the-art geophysical software and techniques for data analysis and interpretation.
• Collaborate with exploration and development teams to provide geophysical support for well planning and execution.
• Mentor junior geophysicists and contribute to the team's technical development.

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Geophysics, Physics, or a related earth science field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in seismic interpretation and geophysical analysis within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Proficiency with industry-standard seismic interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, Hampson Russell).
• Strong understanding of seismic acquisition, processing, and attribute analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex geophysical concepts clearly.
