Field Service Electrical Engineer

Our client is looking for a dedicated and technically proficient Field Service Electrical Engineer to serve their clients in and around Paarl. This role involves travelling to customer sites to install, maintain, and repair complex electrical systems and equipment. You will be the primary technical point of contact for clients, providing expert solutions to ensure their systems operate efficiently and reliably.

The ideal candidate possesses excellent diagnostic skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to work independently in diverse environments.

• Install, commission, and maintain electrical equipment and systems at client locations.
• Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot electrical issues to identify root causes of problems.
• Conduct repairs and implement solutions to ensure system functionality and minimize downtime.
• Provide technical support and training to clients on system operation and maintenance.
• Prepare detailed service reports, documenting all work performed, parts used, and recommendations.
• Manage on-site project execution, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a field service or technical support role.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control logic.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and P&IDs.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region and occasionally beyond.
