South Country Co-op is excited to invite applications for the position of Equipment Team Advisor, a key role within our growing Agro Division at the Cypress County Agro Centre in Cypress County, AB. If you are passionate about agriculture, thrive on relationship‑building, and have a strong technical understanding of farm and agro equipment, this is an exceptional opportunity to join a locally invested, community‑minded Co‑op.

About the Role

Reporting to the Agribusiness Manager, the Equipment Team Advisor plays a critical role in supporting producers and agricultural customers by recommending equipment solutions that support their operations. This position focuses on equipment sales, customer consultation, product expertise, and relationship management within our trading area. This position will have a focus on Medicine Hat, Brooks and Oyen, and other areas as required.

You will work closely with producers, suppliers, internal teams, and industry partners to grow sales, build loyalty, and enhance South Country Co‑op’s reputation as a trusted agricultural partner.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Build, maintain, and grow relationships with current and prospective agricultural customers.

  • Lead equipment sales activities, including prospecting, quoting, presenting solutions, and closing sales.

  • Provide expert advice on farm and Agro equipment, with a strong understanding of agronomic applications.

  • Manage an effective customer contact program and represent South Country Co‑op at events, meetings, and promotional activities.

  • Drive sales performance by achieving targets for revenue, margins, and customer satisfaction.

  • Support equipment procurement, pricing, inventory management, and product promotions.

  • Resolve customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.

  • Prepare sales reports, maintain CRM data, and track market trends and competitor activity.

  • Promote the Co‑op brand and values through exceptional guest service and community participation.

  • Adhere to all safety, credit, operational, and company policy requirements.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who bring:

  • 3–5 years of sales experience in agriculture, preferably in equipment sales.

  • Strong agricultural background, with working knowledge of equipment used in horticultural and row‑crop production.

  • Diploma or degree in Agriculture or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract.

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and sales platforms.

  • A high level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to Co‑op values.

Working Conditions:

  • Regular travel within the trading area is required.

  • Ability to operate Agro equipment as needed.

  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
