Construction Project Administrator, Tarleton State University, Stephenville, TX

Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Construction Project Administrator and begin your career in an environment full of hands‑on learning, growth, and real‑world project exposure. In this entry‑level role, you will support construction project teams across multiple job sites, gaining hands‑on experience in project coordination, schedule and budget tracking, and the core processes that drive successful construction project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of construction and facilities‑related programs, learning best practices in project delivery, safety, and quality standards.
  • Help prepare project updates, status reports, and presentations including monthly reports.
  • Review and evaluate key project data, including timelines, costs, and performance trends. Analyze progress to highlight insights and recommend opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in coordinating project schedules and monitoring financial activity to ensure projects stay on track and within approved cost limits.
  • Learn and assist with tools such as Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Quality Assurance (QA) programs.
  • Work closely with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals.
  • Participate in on‑site learning opportunities, including observing and assisting with training on safety procedures, maintenance protocols, and operational standards.
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the project team and overall operations.
Qualifications
  • College degree (preferred, but not required)
  • 0–1 years of experience or internship exposure in construction, facilities management, or a related field
  • Strong interest in construction project management and desire to learn
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Basic organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to support multiple tasks
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and/or project tracking tools
