Tarleton State University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor Tenure-Track in Meat Science in the Department of Animal Science. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to teaching, research, and service in a vibrant academic community.

9‑month tenure‑track position on Tarleton’s main campus in Stephenville, Texas. Summer appointment subject to funding. Work hours Monday‑Friday 8AM‑5PM or as required. May be taught at various campus locations or via approved instructional modalities. Acts also as Campus Security Authority (CSA).

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, including lecture, seminar, and laboratory instruction.
• Develop course syllabi, select instructional materials, and design assessments such as exams, quizzes, and papers.
• Assess student performance, provide feedback, and evaluate learning outcomes to improve teaching practices.
• Engage students in active learning, foster critical thinking and collaborative work.
• Provide academic support and mentorship during office hours and through feedback on assignments.
• Adhere to university policies, academic integrity, and accreditation requirements.
• Integrate innovative teaching methods, technologies, and pedagogical strategies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current in the field.
• Collaborate with colleagues, faculty, and staff to coordinate course offerings and support program development.
• Participate in institutional service roles, including college committees, advisory roles, and recruitment efforts.
