HR Specialist

This position will assist in the day-to-day guidance of the human resource department, including activities related to recruiting, retention, training, compensation and benefits, employee relations, state and federal compliance, industry trends, policy/procedure, and HR data collection and reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or relevant degree; in lieu of a degree, 5 or more years of relevant experience may suffice
• 3-5 years’ experience in HR or related field; professional certification a plus
• Excellent communication, leadership, and people management skills
• Strong understanding of employment/HR guidelines
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and systems
• Experience with in the human/social service and/or healthcare industry a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
