Fortress is a growing commercial roofing, waterproofing, and building envelope contractor serving North, Central, and West Texas. We're looking for a driven, self-motivated Business Development Manager to help us expand our footprint and build lasting relationships with owners, facility managers, general contractors, property managers, and more.

This is a commission‑only role with uncapped earning potential. It is best suited for someone who's hungry to build something, comfortable with the grind of outside sales, and excited to learn a high‑value industry from the ground up. No specific roofing or construction background is required, but a strong work ethic, coachability, and genuine interest in relationship‑building are essential.

What you'll do
  • Identify and prospect new commercial accounts across our service territory
  • Build relationships with property managers, building owners, GCs, and facility directors
  • Generate and qualify leads, set meetings, provide assessments and estimates, and help move opportunities through the sales pipeline, and more
  • Represent Fortress professionally in the field and at industry events
  • Learn our services (roofing, waterproofing, building envelope) well enough to provide high value information to clientele
  • Collaborate with estimating and ownership to convert opportunities into signed work
  • Assist in ensuring smooth project execution/client experience

  • Willing to learn the technical side of commercial roofing/building envelope work
