POSITION: Ravenna High School Administrative Assistant to Athletic Director and Principal

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two years of post-secondary training and/or appropriate secretarial experience
  • Prior experience managing an office/front desk, computer, typing and general office skills
  • Proficient with Google Workspace – Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms or equivalent
  • Ability to handle a variety of students’ needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to complete tasks in a timely fashion
  • Confidentiality

RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

  • Tracks building and athletic budgets using MUNIS and Google Sheets
  • Audits MHSAA eligibility based on district/state criteria and tracks athlete eligibility data using Power School
  • Manages athletic rosters, schedules, and maps; orders athletic letters, certificates, pins, and other materials for athletic awards banquets. Answers the telephone and responds to inquiries concerning athletic events.
  • Works with Athletic Director to arrange for and verify officials to work at athletic events via the ARBITER Sports system; communicates with coaches and Athletic Director to schedule, reschedule, or confirm athletic events. Reserves fields and gymnasiums. Makes arrangements for accommodations for overnight athletic trips. Arranges for event workers for home athletic events each season.
  • Manages athletic calendars and the athletics website and social media pages
  • Makes arrangements for transportation to athletic events
  • Performs a variety of other office duties such as greeting visitors, assisting building staff, duplicating and distributing materials, answering the telephone, providing for student and parent needs
  • Collects student fees, makes deposits, sets up cash boxes for events
  • Organize and facilitates Graduation ceremonies
  • And other duties as assigned
