Requirements:
Qualification requirements which the Program Manager must possess:
1. Education and/or certification:
a. Vocational certification for Electrical Technologies or meet qualifications for annual authorization
b. valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
c. Journeyman or Electrical Masters License
2.
Experience:
a. At least 4000 hours of experience within the last ten years in residential and/or industrial electrical work.
Essential Functions:
1. Mental Tasks:
a. Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
b. Ability to demonstrate appropriate verbal and written communication in the supervision and teaching of students.
2. Physical Tasks:
a. Ability to drive to & from electrical worksites.
b. Ability to lift, move, and manipulate electro/mechanical materials, equipment, and supplies on the job site.
c. Ability to climb ladders.
d. Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and kneel.
e. Ability to assist students with electrical skills.
3. Equipment:
a. Utilize electrical equipment such as programmable logic controllers, motor controls, pneumatics, meters, etc.
b. Ability to drive a forklift.
c. Utilize office equipment such as telephones, computers, printers, copiers, VCR’s, and other basic classroom and school
equipment.
