Paw Paw Public Schools is seeking to hire part-time specials teachers in the areas of Art, Physical Education, and Technology/STEAM to provide instruction as part of our Shared Time Program with St. Mary Catholic School.
Qualifications- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate for grades and content areas served, which may be satisfied by Elementary Certification (ZG) or content area certification in specific content area(s) sought for employment and programming
- A major in the subject area is strongly preferred, with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree
- Responsible for instructing students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade, concentrating in the areas of Art, Physical Education, and/or Technology/STEAM
- Administer group-standardized tests in accordance with the district-testing program
- Evaluate students’ academic and social-emotional growth, keep appropriate records, and prepare progress reports
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and provide individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student
- Maintain communications with students, parents, staff, and the community
- Participate in district professional development programs as required
- Any other duties assigned by the Director, and/or designee
Salary/Benefits: Starting $25 per hour, commensurate with experience and education
