We're looking for a Process Engineer to support gear machining manufacturing line launch activities for a leading automotive client. This role focuses on delivering safe, high-quality, and efficient processes while collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to ensure successful production outcomes.

  • Shift Time: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Pay Rate: $46/hr with benefits
Responsibilities
  • Support manufacturing process engineering for gear machining operations
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity
  • Complete PPAP and quality launch documentation
  • Establish and improve manufacturing processes using engineering principles
  • Develop and execute corrective action plans for internal and supplier issues
  • Lead process audits and ensure compliance with powertrain guidelines
  • Conduct ergonomic evaluations and implement improvements
  • Create process documentation, work instructions, and quality methods
  • Lead lean manufacturing and variability reduction initiatives
  • Identify throughput constraints and drive root-cause improvements
  • Ensure compliance with plant, corporate, environmental, and government standards
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering

    Experience with Lean Manufacturing, manufacturing processes, and process improvement
  • Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Gear machining or powertrain experience (milling, grinding, heat treat, etc.)
  • Experience with Six Sigma, CAPA, and quality tools (Minitab, QDAS)
  • Knowledge of 8D, 5 Whys, DMAIC, DFSS methodologies
