This is a fully onsite opportunity located in Sterling Heights, MI.
What You Will Be Doing- Lead electrical design activities across multiple concurrent projects, managing priorities and delivering high-quality solutions in a fast‑paced environment.
- Design and develop AC/DC electrical systems, analog and digital circuitry, panel wiring layouts, and test hardware solutions.
- Create and maintain electrical designs and documentation using EPlan and CAD tools while supporting integration into custom‑built systems.
- Develop and support hardware and software components used for testing procedures and validation activities.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot issues, provide technical support, and deliver remote customer support with strong communication and professionalism.
To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following experience and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent hands‑on industry experience.
- 5–6+ years of experience in an Electrical Design Engineering role.
- Proven experience with electrical hardware design, wiring design, and testing.
- Experience using EPlan for electrical design and Solid Works CAD.
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong organization and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to support customers and collaborate across engineering and operations teams.
- Self‑motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working with a high level of autonomy and accountability.
The ideal candidate will also have any or all of the following preferred experience and skills:
- Exposure to Python, JSON, or C# with the ability to understand system architecture and integrations.
- Experience with industrial electrical equipment and electrical control systems.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and PC communications.
- Hands‑on experience with testing and electronics troubleshooting equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, waveform generators, and debugging tools.
- Exposure to AI technologies or emerging engineering tools.
- Automotive, aerospace, or custom equipment industry experience.
