Industrial Eng General

Akkodis is seeking an Industrial Eng General for a Contract with a client in Sterling Heights, MI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving plant productivity through industrial engineering methods while leading innovation initiatives across advanced manufacturing technologies.

Rate Range: $40/Hour to $42/Hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Industrial Eng General Job Responsibilities include:

• Drive plant productivity by developing and maintaining labor standards, conducting time and motion studies, and analyzing constraints, ergonomics, and capacity.
• Lead and support innovation initiatives across digitalization, data analytics, robotics, AI vision, 3D printing, and AGVs from concept to plant-floor implementation.
• Execute industrial engineering analyses including MODAPTS/GSPAS studies, cycle time analysis, and workstation design reviews.
• Support capacity uplift projects through equipment run-offs, implementation planning, and cross-functional coordination.
• Track and report innovation and productivity metrics, preparing presentations and updates for leadership and Global IE.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and union stakeholders to drive change, adopt new technologies, and enable continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing optimization, or plant operations.
• Strong hands-on expertise in labor analysis, time/motion studies, ergonomics, and capacity planning using industrial engineering methodologies.
• Proven ability to support innovation initiatives and cross-functional manufacturing projects involving automation, digitalization, and advanced production technologies.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $42.00 per hour
