Our client is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting and finance function while serving as a strategic business partner to executive leadership. This role combines hands‑on financial leadership with operational involvement, supporting budgeting, forecasting, cash management, lender relationships, and key business initiatives.

The Controller will oversee the finance team, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and help guide the company's financial strategy as it continues to grow.

• Lead and develop the accounting and finance team.
• Oversee the preparation of accurate, timely monthly and annual financial statements.
• Manage cash flow and liquidity planning.
• Coordinate the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting.
• Supervise tax preparation and assist with tax planning initiatives.
• Administer and optimize the company's ERP system.
• Support investor, banking, and lending relationships.
• Coordinate financial aspects of real estate transactions and closings.
• Manage relationships with title companies, attorneys, insurance providers, and other financial partners.
• Assist executive leadership with debt and equity financing activities.
• Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Communicate financial results and projections to ownership and operational leadership.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA required.
• 3-5+ years of public accounting experience with a regional or national CPA firm.
• Audit experience strongly preferred.
• MBA is a plus.
• Experience in residential real estate, homebuilding, construction, or real estate development is preferred.
