Next Gen is offering high-tech internship opportunities to students with a strong desire and interest to learn about data science and machine learning.

No prior work history is necessary. We are willing to train the right candidates! Interns will be assigned a full-time mentor and will be embedded in team projects where possible.

• Python programming
• Acquiring geospatial data, find open‑source software to parse data
• Researching state‑of‑the‑art ML algorithms
• Reviewing research and development (R&D) requirements and opportunities
• Assisting in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data sets.
• Developing and implementing machine learning models under the guidance of data scientists.
• Experimenting with different algorithms and techniques to solve specific problems.
• Visualizing data and presenting findings to the team.
• Collaborating with data engineers to ensure data pipelines are robust and efficient.

• US Citizenship required
• Major in computer science, engineering, MIS, or information technology
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
• Thorough understanding of internet research
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

• Remote work allowed
• Laptop provided
• Expected hours: ~10 per week
