About the Job
Under significant supervision and with some independent judgment, review, test and validate data collection. Maintain data reporting requirements for all policy, unit statistical and financial data calls. Participate in ad‑hoc data requests and/or implementing new data calls as requested. Generate scripts and processes to automate data testing, reporting and verification as needed.
Role and Responsibilities
- Data collection and validation.
- Data Warehouse Development / Maintenance.
- Analyze large data sets.
- SQL Programming and Reporting.
- Assist in the development of pure premium (rate) indications.
- Assist in the development of classification pure premiums (rates) and other rating values.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree from four‑year College or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Basic knowledge of Transact‑SQL, SSRS programming and development.
- Basic knowledge of MS‑Excel or related analytical software.
- Basic knowledge and experience with Data Warehouse best practices. Able to articulate the value of those practices to a technical or non‑technical audience.
- Experience designing and building Data Warehouse structures, processing, and reports preferred.
- Proficient with ETL concepts and implementation.
- Development of Business Intelligence software, including the construction of complex reports based on warehouse data.
- Basic skills in database design, tuning and other DBA related tasks.
- Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Collaborative, positive, energetic team player.
- Strong, effective, written and verbal communication skills.
- Good judgement and business acumen.
- Motivated, self‑directed work ethic, willing to aggressively pursue individual and team goals.
Salary begins at $56,000 and is commensurate with experience.
