Logistics Product Software Developer
Sterling Heights, MI
$39-$51/hour
Entry‑level candidate will work with an existing team of developers supporting a large multinational database, Content Management System (CMS) and related custom and COTS software producing Logistics Product Data (LPD), Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) reports and Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) for the US Army and other defense customers.
Responsibilities- Develop, document, test, deploy and support logistics software applications.
- Provide technical support, application and database administration, and user training.
- Analyze, design, develop, and document software solutions with strong programming/scripting and database skills.
- Assist users with Teamcenter troubleshooting, training, and data exports (PDF, JT, STEP).
- Manage Teamcenter UAT, production testing, BOM creation and updates.
- Merge JT files and create session files with Vis Mockup; fix scaling/orientation issues for vehicle coordinates.
- Open CAD models and export JT data using NX and Creo; perform CAD to STEP conversions.
- Write shell, Perl, and other scripts; manage network drives and group permissions.
- Work efficiently in a team, adhere to project schedules, and maintain high quality standards.
- Ability to work on‑site and remotely as required, with occasional weekday/wkend overtime and short‑term travel.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Knowledge of Windows, Unix, and Linux operating systems and development environments.
- Extensive knowledge of Teamcenter, Vis Mockup, NX, and Creo CAD systems.
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages:
Perl, Python, Visual , Java, C#, C++. - Experience with SQL and relational database systems: SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle.
- Markup language skills: XML, XSD, XSL, SGML.
- Familiarity with Adobe Extend Script, Ghost script, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, IIS, ASP.NET is a plus.
- Experience with LPD software development, IBM Cognos Analytics, or Oracle E‑Business is a major plus.
- Strong documentation, analytical, creative, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and programming languages without formal training.
- Must be able to obtain a security clearance; US citizenship required for this U.S. government contract.
- Ability to perform efficiently in a team environment and adhere to strict project schedules.
- Occasional overtime, evenings, and weekends.
- Occasional short‑term travel.
