About the Role

KITSCH is looking for a talented and dynamic Web & UI/UX Designer to join our creative team. This role is critical in shaping the visual experience of our website and digital platforms, focusing on creating compelling, user-friendly designs that inspire and captivate our audience.

The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for customer-focused visuals, be detail-oriented, and possess exceptional skills in both web and UI/UX design. You will be responsible for designing home page banners, updating category imagery, developing icons, and working on wireframes. A mobile-first mindset and extensive experience in UX/UI design, particularly with Figma, are essential. To succeed in this role, you must be a dynamic self-starter capable of delivering brilliant creative concepts with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Design a minimum of 10 visually stunning home page banners each month
    , ensuring they align with Kitsch’s brand guidelines.
  • Update category imagery on a monthly basis to keep the website fresh and aligned with current trends.
  • Develop imagery and iconography to support various sections of the website, maintaining consistency and brand alignment.
  • Lead the creation of wireframes and prototypes to illustrate the user journey and ensure a seamless UX/UI across our digital platforms.
  • Generate and optimize assets for responsive design, emphasizing a flawless experience across all devices with a mobile-first approach.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Technology to understand project requirements and timelines.
  • Conduct A/B tests for website designs to assess user engagement and apply insights to future projects.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects from concept to completion, ensuring all work is completed on time, especially during peak seasons like Black Friday/Cyber Monday.
  • Stay current with UI/UX trends and integrate best practices into the design process.
Technical Skills
  • Web Design: Expertise in designing and optimizing layouts, imagery, and other web elements to create a cohesive and engaging user experience across all devices, with a strong emphasis on responsive and mobile-first design.
  • UI/UX Design: Strong understanding of user interface and user experience principles, with experience in creating wireframes, prototypes, and user flows that enhance the overall usability of digital platforms.
  • Extensive experience using Figma for designing layouts, wireframes, and collaborative design tasks.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop for image editing, retouching, and optimization of website assets.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for web design is a plus.
  • Experience with A/B testing and a strong understanding of user engagement metrics.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized with strong time management and project prioritization skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to pivot based on business needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in graphic design, with a focus on web design and UX/UI.
  • A portfolio that showcases relevant work, especially in website design, mobile-first design, and UI/UX projects.
  • Must have E-commerce experience.
  • Experience in the beauty industry is highly preferred.
