We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator to install, configure, maintain, and secure reliable network infrastructure. This role troubleshoots connectivity and performance issues while supporting servers, switches, routers, firewalls, wireless systems, and related technologies. WHAT

WE NEED:

As a Network Administrator, you will serve as a vital backbone of our technology infrastructure, keeping our organization seamlessly connected, secure, and running at peak performance. In this dynamic, hands-on role, you will lead daily network troubleshooting across hardware, switches, access points, security cameras, badge access, copiers, phones, and essential infrastructure, while proactively maintaining user accounts and resolving tickets. Working closely with network engineers, district coordinators, vendors, and contractors, you will collaborate on impactful system and application upgrades, provide strategic research for modernizing hardware and security, and enforce robust network access policies to safeguard our systems.

If you are an agile problem solver who thrives in team-focused environments, stays engaged through cross-departmental initiatives, and takes pride in providing reliable support, including participating in an on-call rotation, this position offers an exciting opportunity to shape and protect our evolving network ecosystem.

WHAT YOU NEED:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and two to three years' experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Certifications related to general Network Administration, Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA.
SALARY DETAILS:

$71,736- $83,193 hourly or salary based on relevant prior work experience, with the potential to earn up to $89,589 after employment with Oakland Schools.

Exempt position / 12-month work year
