Material Requisition Planning Specialist - Supply Chain Management

About

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Requisition Planning Specialist to support our client's Supply Chain Management team. In this role, you will serve as the primary interface between Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, Product Management, and other cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate material planning and requisition processing.

This is an excellent opportunity for a supply chain professional with MRP planning experience who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast‑paced manufacturing environment supporting critical defense programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Supply Chain Management Material Planning interface for Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, Product Management, and support teams
  • Review and analyze manual purchase requisitions for proper approvals, quality codes, and supporting documentation
  • Determine material planning requirements using MRP data and establish the appropriate planning path
  • Minimize excess inventory by analyzing MRP planning across multiple locations and coordinating material transfers
  • Perform Oracle Master Scheduling and Planning for independent and dependent demand
  • Execute project inventory transfers to align materials with production requirements
  • Verify material requirements using systems including Oracle (MRP), TipQA, Teamcenter, and other planning tools
  • Generate planning reports and analyze supply chain data
  • Prepare charts and reports for management review
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, Supplier Engineering, Production, and SCM Operations to resolve planning issues
  • Assist internal customers with creating material requisitions and tracking requisition status
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3-5 years of professional experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Operations, or a related field
  • Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP); experience with discrete and inventory-based planning preferred
  • Experience with Oracle ERP/MRP systems
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Cognos Enterprise Reporting or similar data warehouse reporting tools
  • Experience using Teamcenter and TipQA
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and production planning processes
  • Product knowledge within a manufacturing or defense environment
