Job Overview

Assistant Project Manager for an electrical contracting company specializing in commercial, healthcare, hospitality, public works, and high‑rise residential projects.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager in planning and executing construction projects, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Manage and monitor project costs to ensure budget compliance, including forecasting, tracking, and controlling costs.
  • Review and manage contracts, ensuring all terms and conditions are met and potential risks identified and mitigated.
  • Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders for the best possible terms.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with team members and stakeholders to keep activities on track.
  • Ensure construction safety by implementing and monitoring safety protocols, conducting regular safety inspections, and providing safety training to team members.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, ensuring all construction activities align with design specifications.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Solid understanding of RFIs, quality control, change orders, submittals, cost control, contract management, negotiation, planning, scheduling, construction safety, and blueprint reading.
