Job Summary
The overall purpose of the Yard Lead position is to ensure all vehicles are received in process, staged in the yard and labeled according to customer and internal requirements, provide updates on vehicle inventory, report damage on incoming vehicles, report mis‑shipped vehicles, and schedule vehicle delivery. This position must comply with company policies and procedures while adhering to OHSA regulations and current Health & Safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, label and properly stage all vehicles into the yard per customer and internal requirements.
- Complete and send out vehicle inventory list throughout the shift as required.
- If customer requirement, papering of vehicle upon completion
- Report and track any damage on incoming vehicles to shift supervisor/plant manager and/or designee. Input and note damage into Vintracker as required.
- Ship vehicles offsite for needed repairs.
- Check the status of vehicles.
- Flag and stage mis‑shipped vehicles according to customer and internal requirements.
- Communicate with logistics company regarding vehicle delivery.
- Accurately report the number of shipped and received vehicles.
- Monthly inventory comparison.
- Responsible for keeping the yard clean, orderly, and operating efficiently while adhering to all Company, Health & Safety and yard etiquette policies and procedures.

Required:
A minimum of Grade 12 education or equivalent is required.

Previous leadership experience a plus.

- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Perform work in a safe manner per the Company Health and Safety Policy and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Alert immediate supervisor or plant manager/designee of any problems or concerns relating to safety or yard flow issues.
- Excellent interpersonal, written communication and proven organizational skills.
- Valid Ontario Driver's License is a must (Class G)
- Preferred:
Basic computer skills in MS Office desired.
- Manufacturing/production floor environment with a presence on the production floor required for at least 50% of daily work time.
- Frequent exposure to industrial manufacturing, automotive vehicles, weather elements, chemicals and robotics.
- Personal protective equipment must be worn at all times on the production floor.
