- The Pipefitter prepares, fabricates, installs and fits pipe to specifications.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine piping requirements.
- Measures, cuts, threads, assembles, and installs piping systems.
- Ensures proper fitting and alignment of pipes and related components.
- Performs welding, soldering, and brazing as needed for secure connections.
- Conducts pressure tests and inspections to verify system integrity and safety.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of industrial safety standards and best practices. Owns and knows how to use basic hand tools. Knowledge of reading a tape measure. Basic Mathematics. Understands and follows safety & environmental regulations and identifies safety/environmental concerns. Assures a clean work area. Has own tools and PPE.
