Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Job Title: Maintenance Electrician
Schedule: Day Shift 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM | Afternoon Shift 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (15% shift premium)
Type: Contract-to-Hire / Full-Time
We are looking for a Maintenance Electrician to support a busy manufacturing facility. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, controls, and equipment while ensuring smooth operations and supporting process improvements.
What You’ll Do- Perform maintenance, adjustments, and repairs on motors, electrical controls, conveyors, presses, and other machinery
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform root-cause problem solving to maintain operational efficiency
- Support setup and operation of production equipment
- Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and electrical safety protocols
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks, corrective actions, and proper documentation
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and support team goals
- Other duties as assigned
- Knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and schematics
- Experience with motors, controls, automation, and related manufacturing equipment
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagrams
- Welding skills (MIG/Arc) and use of cutting torches a plus
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training preferred
- Familiarity with manufacturing quality and environmental standards (IATF
16949, ISO 14001) preferred - Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing setting
- Willingness to work required overtime
