Metal Finisher

Our client, an aerospace and defense manufacturer in Sterling Heights, is seeking a metal finishing technician to join their team. As a metal finisher technician, you will be part of the assembly team supporting production goals. The ideal candidate will have ability to work independently, a strong work ethic, and reliability which will align successfully in the organization.

* ** Pay Range: $18/hr-$20/hr*
* ** Shift:
** 1st shift: 5am-3:30pm Monday-Friday 10 hour shifts

2nd shift: 2pm-12:30am Monday-Friday 10 hour shifts

Saturday is mandatory overtime typically 6-8 hours

** What's the Job?*
* + fabrication, assembly, installation & repair of sheet metal products and components

+ setting up fabricating machines including break press, metal muncher, rolling machine. etc

+ assemble components according to blueprints and specs

+ using gauge tools such as height gauges, micrometers, calipers, etc...

** What's Needed?*
* + proficient in using metal fabricating machinery such as break press, rolling machines, grinders, etc...

+ experience in qualifying sheet metal parts to fit models, check fixtures, and/or print specifications

+ familiarity with airless paint spraying and auto painting techniques

+ ability to read blueprints

+ capability of lifting 50 lbs unassisted
