Multi-Skilled Operative

As an Operative at our Livingston bakery, you'll play a vital role in helping us produce some of the UK's most loved biscuit brands while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

This is a varied opportunity that offers exposure across several areas of the production operation, including machine operation, process operation, and service support activities. Whether you're operating production equipment, supporting manufacturing processes, supplying production lines with materials, or helping maintain smooth site operations, you'll be part of a team that keeps our bakery performing at its best.

Working with modern manufacturing equipment and production systems, you'll have the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills, gain valuable experience, and build a long-term career within one of the UK's leading food manufacturers.

Operating on a rotating three-shift pattern, you'll gain experience across different production environments while supporting a 24-hour manufacturing operation. Responsibilities

• Become part of a skilled production team supporting a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing operation.
• Operate and support a variety of production processes, machinery, and equipment across the bakery.
• Help maintain the efficiency, quality, and performance of our manufacturing operation.
• Support the safe movement of materials, ingredients, products, and equipment throughout the production process.
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork, operational excellence, food safety, and continuous improvement.
• Enjoy a varied role with opportunities to develop new skills across multiple operational areas.

Criteria

• Experience with in manufacturing, production, warehousing, logistics, service operations, or similarly fast-paced environments would be beneficial.
• A strong commitment to quality, safety, and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A positive approach to learning and developing new skills.
• A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of tasks.
• Flexibility to work across different operational areas and shift patterns.
