Production Cell Leader – Press / Fab

Job Summary:

ACT Test Panels LLC is currently seeking a Production Cell Leader in Hillsdale, Michigan. The Production Cell Leader will provide support, coaching and leadership to a team of Production Associates in the Press and Fab department. This position offers the opportunity for growth into wider areas of responsibility and authority.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate production area resources to achieve production schedule utilizing people, materials, facilities and equipment.
• Provide Quality Leadership for assigned area including training, compliance to all standard operating procedures and supplier/customer process definitions.
• Manage First Time Quality
• Reduce and minimize defects and scrap while maximizing uptime
• Complete all daily, weekly, and monthly standard work reports.
• Ensure accurate and complete daily entry of required data, including job time allocations, process records, raw material usage, part production, and scrap.
• Enforce and enhance safety procedures.

Experience / Training Requirement:

• One year of supervisory or management experience
• Two years of Metal Fabrication experience
• Two years of stamping experience or relevant mechanical expertise
• Collaboration – Effectively work with all functional areas of the Company.
• Communication – Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Technology – Functional computer skills including MS Office and data entry experience.
• Organized & Disciplined – Attention and care to procedural elements. Production and Lab accreditations are cornerstones for the Company.
• Confidential – All customer activity and information are strictly confidential.
• Operational Excellence – Lead Lean approaches across the company.
• Decision Making – Excellent analytical, listening, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• People Development – Ability to provide constructive and effective leadership.

Required Qualifications:

• MS Office Suite Proficiency
• Capability to learn and use ERP system.
• Excellent communicator
• 1+ years of success in an independent production environment
