Objective:
Performs and leads tasks in the installation, repair, maintenance and operation of mechanical, electrical, environmental controls, environmental systems, energy and chemical resource management as well as health & safety systems. Supports other teams and projects in areas like plant safety, quality, IATF compliance, MAFACT implementation, production attainment and cost goals. Ensures facilities and equipment are operating properly and efficiently all with the ultimate goal of reducing waste, increasing efficiency, and ensuring safety.
All aspects and functions involved in the administration, planning and coordination of new or changed systems, including but not limited to physical assets, including buildings, equipment, grounds, HVAC and lighting.
Responsibilities, Duties and Authority:(These duties cover only the more significant responsibilities, they are not meant to be all inclusive. Responsible for the installation, maintenance, operation and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems. Ensures proper operation of systems in compliance with required regulations and codes. Responsible for an efficient and team driven focused operation that promotes continuous improvement in the areas of safety, cost, quality, delivery, environmental and technology.
Responsible for structured problem‑solving and root cause analysis followed by system improvements and implementation of permanent countermeasures to improve measurables like MTTR and MTBF Coaching Maintenance team on all aspects of working in world class manufacturing environment and the skills needed to support such environment Implements and maintains a TPM program Responsible to implement and maintain Standard Work for team members.
Schedule Preventive Maintenance and maintain database in computer software. Ensure PM completion to business objectives. Implement Predictive Maintenance activities to reduce cost. Develops work instructions to train and engage operations employees in autonomous maintenance activities Implements 5S in the maintenance department and applies 5S mythology. Responsible for 5S in all Common Areas. Ensure compliance of environmental and sanitation regulations. Monitor and facilitate work order system and parts inventory.
