CNC Lathe; Setup​/Program; 1st Shift

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Setup / Programmer to join our machine shop. This position will primarily be responsible for setting up multiple CNC lathes and making minor program adjustments as needed. Most of the parts we produce have been running for many years, so extensive programming from scratch will not be required. The ideal candidate will have strong setup experience, good mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot problems on the machine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up multiple CNC lathes for production.
• Load and adjust programs as needed.
• Make minor program edits and offsets to maintain quality and production requirements.
• Set up tooling, fixtures, and work holding.
• Inspect parts to ensure they meet print specifications.
• Troubleshoot machining and setup issues.
• Work with machinists and management to keep production running efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Previous CNC lathe setup experience is required.
• Experience with CNC programming and making program adjustments.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong knowledge of cutting tools, tooling, and machining processes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred:

• Experience setting up multiple CNC lathes.
• Manufacturing experience with bar feeders.
