Position: RN Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Location: West Bloomfield, MI
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift:
Position OverviewThe Labor & Delivery RN is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to mothers throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and the immediate postpartum period. The ideal candidate will be skilled in maternal and fetal assessment, patient education, and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Responsibilities- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being during labor and delivery
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy as ordered
- Assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and obstetrical procedures
- Provide patient and family education regarding labor, delivery, recovery, and newborn care
- Respond effectively to obstetrical emergencies
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient-centered care
- Active RN License
- Recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
