Pulse Healthcare Services is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for an exciting Travel Nursing job in Livingston, MT.

Shift: 3x12 hr nights.

Start Date:

ASAP. Duration: 13 weeks. Pay: $2356 / Week.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse.
  • Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification.
  • STABLE and ACLS Certifications (AHA/ARC).
  • Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position.
Summary

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient care in the obstetric setting. This role encompasses assessing maternal and fetal health, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.

Essential Work Functions
  • Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients.
  • Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn.
  • Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members to deliver cohesive care.
  • Respond to obstetric emergencies.
  • Document patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
  • Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
  • Comply with all regulatory standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of labor and delivery nursing.
Required Essential Skills
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills.
  • Physical Abilities – Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend.
  • Interpersonal Skills – Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel.
  • Technical/Motor Skills – Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.
  • Mental Requirements – Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure.
  • Sensory – Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate.
