Pomeroy Living Sterling Skilled is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Staff Development Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our nursing staff. This role is critical to ensuring high-quality patient care through continuous professional development and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, coordinate, and deliver educational programs and training sessions for nursing staff.
- Assess staff learning needs and create individualized development plans.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to nursing education and staff competencies.
- Maintain accurate records of staff training and certifications.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance clinical skills.
- Support new employee orientation and onboarding processes.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make necessary adjustments.
- Serve as a resource and mentor for nursing staff regarding clinical practices and professional development.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan.
- Proven experience in nursing education, staff development, or a related clinical role.
- Strong knowledge of clinical nursing practices and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated ability to assess educational needs and develop effective training programs.
- Experienced in nursing staff development and education.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Proficient in program planning and evaluation.
- Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing healthcare environments and regulations.
