Quality Assurance Manager

Our client in Sterling Heights, MI is currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our Quality Department within a fast-paced automotive/aerospace manufacturing environment. This role will work closely with customers, internal teams, and leadership to maintain high-quality standards, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with industry requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the Quality Department and oversee quality technicians/support staff
• Work directly with customers to resolve quality concerns and maintain strong customer relationships
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities while maintaining CAR logs
• Monitor and maintain quality objectives and performance trends
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on achieving zero defects
• Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits
• Maintain quality documentation, records, and compliance processes
• Support risk management and continuous improvement activities
• Manage customer complaint and compliment tracking processes
• Review purchase orders and process routers for approval
• Provide training throughout the organization and maintain special process certifications

Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of Quality Assurance Management experience in automotive, aerospace, or related manufacturing industries
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
• Experience with audits, corrective actions, and customer quality requirements

• Aerospace manufacturing experience
• Continuous improvement and lean manufacturing knowledge
• Customer-facing quality management experience
• Experience leading quality teams in a production environment

Pay: $90k-$100 Depending on experience
