Quality inspector

Our client, an aerospace and defense manufacturer in Sterling Heights, is seeking a floor inspector for a fast-paced Prototype Body in White environment. As a floor inspector, you will inspect production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests and perform leak testing.

* ** Pay Range: $18/hr-$24/hr*
* ** Shift: 1st shift: 5am-3:30pm Monday-Friday 10 hour shifts*
* ** 2nd shift: 2pm-12:30am Monday-Friday 10 hour shifts*
* ** What's the Job?*
* + Inspects and approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials

+ Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work

+ Using gauge tools such as height gauges, micrometers, calipers, etc..

+ Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and inputs data into quality database

** What's Needed?*
* + Ability to navigate cad models

+ Skills to calibrate and measure specifications, understanding of metrology joining features.

+ Ability to do leak testing

+ Minimum of 2 years of quality experience

+ ability to read blueprints

+ capability of lifting 50 lbs unassisted
