MIG/TIG Journeyman Welder (1st and 2nd shift)

Full Time Fair Haven, MI, US

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Journeyman TIG/MIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding techniques, particularly TIG/MIG welding, and will be responsible for producing high-quality welds on a variety of materials including stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel. The TIG/MIG Welder will work closely with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform TIG/MIG welding on various materials, ensuring precision and high-quality results.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
  • Set up welding equipment and adjust settings for optimal performance.
  • Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to achieve project goals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve welding issues as they arise.
  • Keep accurate records of work completed, including time spent and materials used.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training or certification in welding preferred.
  • Proven experience as a TIG/MIG Welder, with a strong portfolio of completed work.
  • 5+ years of experience as a MIG/TIG welder.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with welding safety standards and best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform welding tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work in various conditions, including outdoor environments and confined spaces.
