Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Journeyman TIG/MIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding techniques, particularly TIG/MIG welding, and will be responsible for producing high-quality welds on a variety of materials including stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel. The TIG/MIG Welder will work closely with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform TIG/MIG welding on various materials, ensuring precision and high-quality results.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
- Set up welding equipment and adjust settings for optimal performance.
- Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to achieve project goals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve welding issues as they arise.
- Keep accurate records of work completed, including time spent and materials used.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training or certification in welding preferred.
- Proven experience as a TIG/MIG Welder, with a strong portfolio of completed work.
- 5+ years of experience as a MIG/TIG welder.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with welding safety standards and best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform welding tasks effectively.
- Ability to work in various conditions, including outdoor environments and confined spaces.
