Fiber and Coax Splicing Technician (HFC) Job Brief
Intermedia no Inc. is looking for Fiber & Coax Splicing Technicians on behalf of a client to support operations across multiple sites in Michigan (MI) & Indiana (IN). Candidates must be locally based or have valid authorization to work in the United States.
Responsibilities- Perform fiber optic and coaxial cable splicing within HFC networks
- Execute network upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Perform node, cable, and equipment swaps (cutovers)
- Support network preparation activities based on technical drawings
- Read and interpret network diagrams, schematics, and plans
- Ensure quality, signal integrity, and compliance with safety standards
- Work on active networks with scheduled daytime cutovers
- Proven hands‑on experience with HFC (Hybrid Fiber‑Coaxial) networks
- Strong experience with both fiber and coax splicing
- Experience with DOCSIS technology
- Experience performing network upgrades, swaps, and maintenance
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and network layouts
- Field experience working in live telecom environments
- Clean background (Background check to be conducted)
- SSN and Valid work visa
