Job Overview

Sr. Software Engineer at IQVIA Inc. located in Wayne, PA. The role allows telecommuting from the tri-state area (PA/NJ/NY) with periodic reporting to the Wayne office. The engineer will design and develop software solutions and business process solutions to meet business needs using life sciences domain knowledge. Responsibilities include working across the full application stack, performing code reviews, optimizing queries, establishing software quality standards, and supporting on‑call activities during production deployments.

• Design and develop software solutions and business process solutions based on business needs and requirements.
• Work across all layers of the application stack, including front‑end user interface and back‑end development.
• Analyze and evaluate code issues, making decisions within established parameters under broad supervision.
• Lead projects and programs of moderate complexity and scope within the organization.
• Focus on software quality standards, establish advanced testing methods, and conduct complex software tests.
• Perform code reviews and optimization of existing queries.
• Assist in onboarding new Software Engineers to the team.
• Participate in on‑call rotations for production deployments.
• Work Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm EST, with overtime and weekend work as needed.

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field or foreign equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of software development experience if holding a master’s degree, or three years if holding a bachelor’s degree.
• Experience working with teams on software design and development projects.
• One year of experience (regardless of degree level) utilizing AWS and Azure Cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience building CI & CD tools such as Git Lab or Terraform.
• Knowledge of the life sciences domain for design and development of software applications.

Salary Range: $143,175 – $209,200 per year. Base pay may vary based on qualifications, location, and schedule. Additional incentives, bonuses, and benefits may be offered.
