Our client is seeking a skilled Qt/QML C++ Software Engineer to develop and maintain software applications supporting advanced military vehicle systems. This role will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality, efficient software while developing intuitive user interfaces and solving complex technical challenges.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain applications using Qt, QML, and C++.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define, design, and deliver new software features.
- Develop high-quality, reusable, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot software issues.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.
- Support software development throughout the development lifecycle.
- Apply object-oriented programming principles and modern C++ development practices.
- Stay current with advancements in Qt/QML, C++, and software development technologies.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and object-oriented programming.
- Demonstrated experience with the Qt framework and QML for user interface development.
- Familiarity with multithreading, networking, and advanced C++ concepts.
- Experience with Git or similar version control systems.
- Experience working within Agile software development environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team.
- Experience with cross-platform application development.
- Experience with software debugging and performance optimization tools.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Previous experience supporting defense, embedded, or military vehicle software programs.
- Candidates must be eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship may be required based on program requirements.
